Deutscher Filmmusikpreis 2025
I have the great honor of receiving the Deutscher Filmmusikpreis (German Film Music Award) 2025 in the Young Talent category. The award is a meaningful recognition of the work of recent years and of the many collaborations that shaped these projects. I am deeply grateful to the directors, producers, musicians, and teams who trusted me with their stories and gave music a place in their narrative voice.
The award was presented on November 8, 2025, as part of the 18th Filmmusiktage Sachsen-Anhalt at the Oper Halle — the twelfth time it has been given. What makes the Young Talent category special is that it doesn’t honor a single project or composition, but the composer as a whole: the signature, the development, the personal path that runs through the work of recent years. That’s exactly what makes this recognition so meaningful to me — it honors not one piece of work, but an approach to film music that I’ve built up across many projects.
