The work on the music for the documentary “Denn dieses Leben lebst nur du!” is now complete, and I’m incredibly grateful and proud of the result. This project is particularly close to my heart — not just because of the artistic collaboration, but because the film carries such an important message.

The documentary follows the story of a young trans person carving out their own path. Creating visibility for trans people is something that’s still too often neglected. That’s why I hope this film will reach a wide audience and help foster more acceptance and understanding.

Music that feels real

For this film, I deliberately aimed for an authentic, almost folkloric sound. Nearly every instrument was recorded live — no samples, no plugins. It was an intensive but incredibly rewarding experience for me as a composer. The focus was on authenticity rather than perfect mixing — staying true to the spirit of the story being told.
