CODE RAT is a short film that delves into the intriguing notion that rats might be the masterminds behind inexplicable events. Produced within a tight three-month timeframe, the film presents a narrative where these creatures are not just pests but orchestrators of chaos, challenging our perceptions of control and order. The story unfolds in a world where the line between reality and conspiracy blurs, inviting viewers to question the unseen forces that influence our lives.
Code Rat
The Story
The Music
For Code Rat, I composed three short yet distinctive musical pieces, each tailored to enhance the quirky yet earnest atmosphere of the scenes. Every clip received its own unique score – from the thrilling desert vibes that underscore the ship’s journey, to the epic orchestral sounds accompanying the volcanic summoning, and finally, a romantic orchestral trip to space.
The diversity of instruments is as vast as the scenes themselves, perfectly matching the mischievous antics of the rats. The music playfully balances between humorous undertones and dramatic flair, adding depth to the film’s whimsical narrative.
