WDR celebrates Gerburg Jahnke, a pioneer of German comedy, on her 70th birthday. From her iconic duo Missfits to hosting Ladies Night, Gerburg has shaped the comedy scene with her bold and unapologetic style, tackling topics others shy away from.
A special moment: After 20 years, Gerburg reunites with her former stage partner Stephanie Überall on camera. Alongside them, comedy greats like Gayle Tufts, Daphne de Luxe, and Katie Freudenschuss share how Gerburg paved the way for women in comedy.
As a Music Supervisor for this project, I curated, composed and recommended a selection of pieces that complement the film’s tone and storytelling, blending comedy with personal and emotional moments.
